Agriturismo "Il Cerro" was born after a careful renovation that was made respecting its ancient origins. Thanks to this renovation , it has come back to shine in all its original beauty. It’s a rural complex consisting of four stone houses: a main one and other three that are situated 50 meters far away from previous one.
The houses are comfortably furnished, with wooden ceilings, terracotta floors and furnitures reminding the ancient rustic traditions that, all in all, give a special charm to it.
Agriturismo "Il Cerro , which it is immersed among the lush vegetation of secular forests of the hills around Cortona, 700 meters above sea level, in a quiet and panoramic position , is the ideal destination for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday , in deep contact with a natural environment, still intact and uncontaminated.
In this corner of the earth , it’s possible to live in contact with nature, rediscovering peaceful moments, which are nowadays forgotten because of the frenetic life that modern society imposes on us.
If you walk through the ancient streets of the country or through the steep paths in the woods, you will have the opportunity to meet here and there wild game of various species.
Moreover for those , who are looking for a quiet and restful holiday, it will be possible to sunbathe in the beautiful swimming pool (6x12 meters) overlooking the beautiful view of the valley below.
Near the swimming pool you can find others amusing activities such as table tennis, basketball and volleyball court.
Around the houses there is a well maintained and large garden, equipped with garden furnitures, games for children, a barbecue and a large table where you can spend unforgettable time with your family or friends.

The Ponticellis, originally from Casentino, has been living for more than hundred years in a small village outside Cortona called Fratta. In this area we have our farm surrounded by vineyards and olive groves.
Our work aims to the cultivation of maize, wheat, barley, sunflowers and fodder crops such as alfalfa.
We have a rich vineyard Sangiovese, located near the farm, and vast pieces of ground of olive groves, with approximately 1000 plants, mainly located in the lush hills of San Pietro a Cegliolo.
Our cultivation involves the use of products with low environmental impact, and this means no use of chemicals that, at least in our opinion, do nothing but harm the consumer. To grant a genuine product, respect for the environment we are moving to biological agriculture.
